SMART Goals FREE Workshop for TEENS Every 1st Friday @ 9 am EST
In this class, students will learn how to set and execute S.M.A.R.T. goals.
S.M.A.R.T. - Specific, Measurable, Actionable, Relevant, and Timely.
Goal setting is a necessary life skill that can be applied to all aspects of your life. Whether it's for school, work, personal development, relationships, mastering a craft or special projects, learning how to set and meet goals is vital to success.
During this class, we will learn the skills necessary to:
• Create goals that are very specific. Goals that are too broad or vague are very difficult to achieve.
• Create goals that are measurable. Being able to see your progress towards your goals helps keep you motivated and on track to succeed.
• Make step-by-step action plans to create our goals. Let’s face it, a goal without a plan is just a wish.
• Create goals that are relevant. Why is your goal important? How will it affect your life? It doesn’t have to be deep and completely life-changing, but it should be something that matters.
• Learn to set milestones and deadlines. Goals are meant to be accomplished!
Everyone should come to class with at LEAST one goal in mind.
During this FREE workshop we will set 1 SMART Goal into action!

Your Instructor
I believe education should be student-centered. The content should be relevant and customized for the student who you are teaching. African Centered Education is essential to the success and liberation of African Peoples. I take time to get to know my students and fully understand their individual goals.
Although I have been teaching and tutoring for over 19 years, my experience has not made me stagnant. I have continued to develop my craft and I use a combination of traditional and modern methods. I also incorporate technology, crafts, drama, and teamwork into my teaching to give my students the most out of their lessons.
I love knowing that my work is meaningful. I think being an educator means you are helping others reach their greatness. Being a part of that process makes me proud. Also, teaching (especially online) gives me the opportunity to meet people of the diaspora from all over the world.
I have a Bachelor of Education and I am CELTA certified as an English Instructor. I have run my own private school, daycare, afterschool program, and several summer camps. I homeschooled my children and I am looking forward to continuing that tradition with my grandchildren.
